LOA (Leave of Absence) Coordinator

A biotechnology company in Westchester is looking to fill an immediate need on their Benefits & Well-being team with the addition of a newLeave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator In this role, the Leave of Absence Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the team's processes, policies, and procedures that are vital to employees' health and wellbeing along with ensuring workforce continuity.
Responsibilities:
The Leave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator will:
Maintain weekly LOA reporting metrics and processes timecards for all employees leave cases Works closely with the Payroll Department to ensure that the employee's timecard information aligns with their LOA status for payroll processing Act as a liaison between employees, HR, management, and third-party administrators to provide timely and accurate support as they relate to all leave of absences and leave status Monitor legislative updates for new state and local leave requirements to ensure compliance Complete state and government filings in compliance and applicable with FMLA/DBL/WC, plan audits, and other tax-reporting requirements Perform other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
1
year of experience administering leave of absence program for a multistate employer Experience ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations Proficient with using Microsoft Office suite Strong communication skills Solid problem solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills:
Experience using HRIS and Payroll systems Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Auditing Biotechnology Communication Coordinating Human Resources Information System (Hris) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
