VP, Development & External Relations

Provides strategic leadership of the organization's major gift and fundraising operations.
In partnership with the Chief Development Officer, develops and implements a comprehensive development program for the Health System.
Responsible for direct donor identification, cultivation and stewardship of Health System significant donors for various programs.
Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports. Assigns major gift prospects to staff.
Provides strategic and tactical advice, and oversees the development and implementation of operating plans for each area, and oversees budgets.
Manages a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors by personally participating in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
Oversees the development of proposals to corporations, foundations and individuals, in support of departmental initiatives.
Assists in the planning and implementation of the Health System's next comprehensive fundraising campaign.
Builds strong and mutually beneficial relationships between Health System leadership, staff and external audiences such as donors, business and community leaders.
Regularly evaluates programs and assesses progress toward goals, reports results to the CDO.
Acts in the absence of the CDO, as necessary.
Performs related duties, as required.
ADA Essential Functions
Bachelor Degree, required. Master's Degree, preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a broad-based development role in a complex matrixed organization, required. Campaign experience, required.
Proven success in building productive, long-term relationships with senior administrators, staff, volunteers and donors.
Strong organizational and managerial leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a large, complex and dynamic organization.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
